is a novel framework and tool for heap visualisation from Tony Printezis
and Richard Jones.
In contrast to the CLR Profiler,
GCspy is VM-independent and allows the user to connect/disconnect at will.
One of the biggest problems facing memory management research has been the lack of a set of good benchmarks. While there is certainly more work to be done, this directory describes the progress made and lists some widely used (and proposed) benchmarks for memory management research.
This directory lists UK researchers known to have memory management interests. These interests are loosely defined, and cover explicit and automatic memory management, implementation of virtual machines, tools for the analysis of memory performance and static analysis techniques for improving correctness of programs that manipulate heap-allocated data.
